Apple, Google, Facebook and Amazon earn an incredible amount of money. But let it roll off your tongue how much the tech giants turn over in just one second.
Apple is still the most valuable company in the world – not just in the tech industry, but in general. For the big players, revenues go into the triple-digit billions, and profits into the double-digits. A look at Apple’s and Co.’s profit per second illustrates how much this really is. The survey comes from Statista and covers the period from October 2020 to September 2021, i.e. 12 months. It compares companies from the tech industry.
Apple is the clear leader in profit
To get a better grasp of the figure, it is important to remember that there are 8,6400 seconds in a day. For the given 12-month period, it can therefore be represented as follows:
- 2663 euros per second
- 159,780 euros per minute
- 9.586.800 Euro per hour
- 230,083,200 euros a day
- 83,980,368,000 a year.
In the end, the figure of just under 84 billion euros, or more than $94 billion, stands as pure profit for Apple.

Other tech giants also with huge profits
Besides Apple, other tech companies are doing very well. But the gap to the iPhone company is still clear, as the chart from Statista shows.
